well you’re right he didn’t really do much but he played a lot better than he did against honduras but i think he should still play
i mean hes young and needs to get international experience and some confidence and it would be better for him to get it now then when the opponents become better
if i could choose i would choose nery but since he did not get called up i would go with bravo cause he has been with mexico and i dont think vouso is not ready to be a stater but on gio i would still make him a stater i would put him in mid over perez
Well you try getting around someone who digs their hands on your face.
I would leave him in. He just needs that breakthrough game before he starts dominating on a consistent basis.
Yea I agree with Dog, I would leave Gio as a starter because he is actually doing pretty good he just needs that goal or great play to boost his confidence and we will see him playing a lot better
the only problem i had with him was that huge miss at the end of the 1st half.
i say let him start but put him in his position. i know sven has him there to play ’cause him and vela have good playing chemistry, but let him try arce’s spot.

I saw the game and i think that although Gio has exceptional skill he isn’t mature enough, when i say mature i mean to play at the top level he is expected to play. Maybe he isn’t Mexico’s youth Gem that he was though he could be, I say play him in the next game, but if he doesn’t reach a certain height in the next game then he should be replaced by Omar Bravo. Where in the world is Nery Castillo when you need him!

i say give gio another shot or two.. yeah, he’s had 2 bad games, but they haven’t cost us any points, so give him a shot until he gets comfortable.. O 1 THING!! (someone needs to tell him to stop diving and trying to make “pretty” plays past the defense..)

Leave him..hes young, he’ll mature..but if you do take him out his confidence will drop..give him another shot or too..
i would put Matias Vuoso…because hes fast and knows how to play and pass the ball very well
here look dio has not not been doing good all the last two games bravo should replace him so both offence are vela and bravo

Like most of you I would like to see Gio show his skill, but i think the seleccion is a lil too “big” for him, I think he should come on as a substitue and lil by lil start playing more time until he gets more aquainted with the team. In his spot I would defenetly put in Omar Bravo and move Vela to one side, i mean Vela did a very good job in that position with Osasuna.
If Erikson leaves him in there, i wouldnt be surprised but maybe against a canadian team he might be able to let loose a lil more…two bad games, hey la tercera es la vencida no?
i say put vuoso in, give him a chace. people hate on him but he’s only played 15 minutes, so we can’t judge him. i agree, gio needs that international experience, but seriously, he’s had his chance, and every time he’s played he’s had a couple misses that should’ve been in. he needs to mature a little more, i think vuoso has been playing for more years, and is ready to play.

I agree with most of the people on here. Let Gio start so he can gain experience. If you see him doing a lot of mistakes, then sub him early in the second half for Bravo.
